i'm an amateur programmer from the southeastern us. right now i'm a NEET, but i plan to start college in 2025.

maintaining this site is one of the things i like to do in my free time. some of my other hobbies besides coding include gaming, drawing, cosplaying, photography, and reading/watching creative works.

to be honest, i'm not great at describing myself, but i would say i'm a pretty dry and secluded person. if you know where to find me, you can always feel free to interact with me. just know i am usually not the type of person to strike things up first.

How was Aramid made?

i grew up around computers (and other tech), so naturally i quickly learned that html and css existed. i barely touched the waters of it for several years, until i discovered Neocities sometime in the early 2020s.

i experimented with using html and css to create my own website a few times before i eventually created my first (public) Neocities site during summer 2022. i kept up with it for 11 months, but i left it inactive due to my personal life getting in the way.

i started relearning html and css during summer 2024, when i discovered NekoWeb. during July 2024, i published Aramid, and have been developing it ever since.

Why is Aramid still being made?

short answer: i like developing my own site and the amount of customization and self-expression that comes with it.

i'm not someone who's vehemently against social media. i believe that there's both good and bad that can come out of it. plus, i'd rather not maintain a website mainly out of spite. i want this site to be made out of love.

i was planning on writing more but i think everything i wrote here already sums up almost all of my thoughts about the indie web without getting redundant.
